Matt is a plumber. Matt used to work for a large plumbing company, after many discussions with friends and family, he decided to go out on his own.
Matt started the company to earn more money and have more time for his young family, yet Matt is working 12 hours per day, 7 days per week and is still behind on all of his paperwork.
His business grew fast and Matt needed to hire an apprentice and a second plumber. Hiring staff meant Matt had to learn about Awards, allowances, overtime, Work Cover, Superannuation, Q Leave and Single Touch Payroll. He was drowning in ATO rules and regulations and didn’t have any time for his family let alone the amount of work he had committed to.
Everest set up a company file in Xero for Matt and showed him how to create invoices for his clients and receive payments by Credit Card and BPAY. Never had he been paid so promptly without having to remind clients.
Everest invited his team to the Time App and then completed the payroll weekly. They sent payslips to his employees with all the correct allowances and overtime calculations, then lodged all the required compliances when they were due.
Whenever Matt got fuel he just took a photo of the receipt and uploaded it to receipt bank and Everest published it to Xero. No more paperwork and faded receipts all over the Ute!
Matt was finishing work at 3, taking his son to footy practice and enjoying his work life balance. He knew how much he owed, how much he was owed and how much he made this year so far…at any time. He had his finger on the pulse. Matt could sleep at night and all this he got for less than the price of a case of beer per week.
